Meet Our Pastor


The Reverend Steven M. Larsen was installed as
pastor of St. Mark on June 3, 2001.

Pastor Larsen has served in the Air Force, has degrees from Sonoma State University, California, and Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He served as Vicar of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Denver, Colorado, and pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Long Beach, California. He also planted a mission congregation in Elk Grove, California.

As an active Air Force Chaplain, he and his family (wife Heidi and two children) have served in Denver, Colorado; Okinawa, Japan; Korea; England; and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. While serving Peace Lutheran Church, St. Louis County, Missouri, he developed Peace Lutheran Church-Military on behalf of the Ministry to the Armed Forces. He recently retired as a reserve Military Chaplain.

The Larsens came to St. Mark following four years as Senior Pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church and School in Oklahoma City. We are glad to have them and wish them God's richest blessings.
